My older brother made one of these lists on his blog, and so did my little sister, so, I figure it's my turn to follow their tracks and make one too.
They aren't in order from most not-understood to least not-understood. (If that makes sense...)
I don't understand...
1. How sound travels under water.
2. What good purpose misquitos serve in our world.
3. Why my 12-year-old friend is much taller than me when I'm 2 years older than her.
4. Why I'm labeled as a "quiet girl" at school.
5. Why some people think they know everything.
6. Why my friends think I'm the girl that knows nothing about anything.
7. Why people think I can't handle things that I can.
8. Why every horse I've gotten was wild and unbroken.
9. How my cat's meowing can possibly be as loud as it is.
10. And finally, why girls can't have short hair and guys can.

Well, I can explain how sound travels underwater. Water is just a bunch of h2o molecules, and some other stuff. Air is sort of the same thing, just a bunch of molecules floating around. However, the air molecules are much more excited, so they tend not to stay in the same place. Therefore, sound travels easier through air than it does through water.
For the same reason, sound can travel through solid steel, or just about anything, as long as the sound is loud enough. Steel molecules are a lot less excited than air, or water, which is why they stay in the same shape.
Also, mosquitoes, and other parasitic insects, carry various diseases which kill off herd animals, like deer, or gazelles.
